Kelsey became a lifelong fan of theatre after participating in a kids summer musical through her local park district over 30 years ago. She continued to act in school, college, and community theatre until getting married and having her own kids. She was thrilled to learn about Spotlight Community Theatre when her oldest children decided to audition for the spring 2023 ATS. Kelsey then broke her hiatus from the stage that summer in Wizard of Oz, and they haven’t been able to get rid of her since! Her favorite on-stage role with Spotlight was Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, and she has also enjoyed her backstage work, especially props. When Kelsey isn’t involved in Spotlight, she is spending time with her husband and 4 children, singing with her church’s choir, or volunteering at the schools. She can be very competitive when playing board or card games but is woefully un-athletic. Kelsey is thrilled to join the board of Spotlight. She loves theatre and strongly believes in its power to bring together people of all ages and talents. Her favorite plays and musicals include Fiddler on the Roof, Hello, Dolly!, and The Play That Goes Wrong.
