What is A Night of Variety?

Spotlight Community Theatre is fueled by uniquely talented performers, so our fundraiser should reflect that talent!

Spotlight’s A Night of Variety! will have a cabaret or vaudeville vibe. It’s a one-of-a-kind fundraising variety show featuring original one-acts of music, comedy, and more, performed by some of Spotlight’s most talented members. In between acts, you can enjoy dancing, free appetizers, a cash bar (one free drink ticket included with admission), carnival-inspired games, raffles, and some surprises! It’s a little bit cabaret, a little bit wild west, a little bit carnival, and a whole lot of fun — and there’s nothing else like it in Jefferson County!

Why Does a Theatre Company Need a Fundraiser?

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, Spotlight Community Theatre is 100% reliant on the support of our community. Every costume, prop, set piece, script, and venue rental is funded entirely through ticket sales, donations, and sponsorships. To date, we have had over 400 people involved with our productions, which just goes to show how impactful theatre can be! Theatre is expensive — musicals alone cost $10,000 to $15,000 to produce — but we are committed to keeping live, high-quality theatre accessible to Jefferson County residents of all ages.
